Alexa is the Amazon cloud service that powers Echo, the groundbreaking new Amazon device designed around your voice. We believe voice is the most natural user interface for interacting with the home and is fundamental to enabling the dream of the smart, connected home. Alexa Smart Home is looking for a program manager to help us build and execute Beta to validate the customer experience during the product development cycle.

The right candidate will possess a strong program management background and will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done.

As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for designing and delivering large beta programs end-to-end. Your responsibilities will include defining the beta strategy encompassing one or more Smart Home products; recruiting and maintaining an engaged pool of beta participants; working with Engineering, Product Management, and Technical Program Management to create and deliver regular homework; and tracking and raising important issues to the program. You will identify and assess metrics to measure success and will relentlessly advocate for the customer to ensure that the product meets the correct bar. You should have experience working in a product development environment, strong organizational skills, and excellent customer-facing communication skills.
