We are recruiting qualified Systems Engineers to operate our existing clients, analyze and tune hardware/software configurations, automate existing manual processes, and identify improvements to our existing tools.
This role is right for you if: - You are interested in automating across a myriad of different clients including Windows CE, Android, Mac and Windows. - You would enjoy working with a wide range of other technical and business groups within Amazon. - You want to solve problems for a global workforce. - You automate everything to make scalable solutions. - You launch, own, support and make your solutions incrementally better for the benefit of your customers. - You enjoy working in a flexible, fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
· Bash experience plus knowledge of at least one scripting language (Python, Perl, Ruby, PowerShell) · Strong track record of working in areas of significant complexity and 'getting things done' · Understanding of configuration management. · Record of mentoring other engineers to maintain architectural vision. · Proficient at automation and designing software systems. · Understanding of client deployment patterns across multiple systems. · Knowledge of system performance methodologies along with hands on monitoring.
· Experience taking a leading role in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customer · Experience with Operating Systems such as Ubuntu 12.04+, OS X 10.9+ · Experience deploying or managing large scale systems · Ability to think abstractly and deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems · Obsession with quality, operational excellence, and customer experience · Strong problem solving and analytical abilities · Strong verbal and written communication skills
