We're seeking a Support Engineer for the Alexa SmartHome Partner Quality team to consistently improve the availability and quality of the partners by supporting the tickets, production deployments and building highly scalable tools to detect gaps and improve team velocity, ability to do the load testing, automate the capacity analysis , reporting and detect areas which could improve Partners quality and provide better customers experience. You will need to work closely with multiple development teams, System Engineering Team , Solutions Architects and External third parties and will make a direct impact on customers day to day life and You will have the satisfaction of working on a product your friends and family can relate to.
Engineer should be able to troubleshoot, debug, evaluate and resolve computer-identified alarms and customer escalation tickets, perform software deployments and migrations, host management and automate routine operational tasks. The position requires a combination of strong troubleshooting, technical and communication skills and includes a mix of the on-call and operational tasks and may involve execution of small-project and software development work. Partner Quality team operates in ‘24X7' using Follow the Sun model in co-ordination with team in Chennai, India. Engineers also develop tools and automation to automate repetitive operational tasks. They use the right tool for the job, and modify software in a way that leverages the overall system architecture to ensure availability and reduce operational load.
