As Manager of the AWS Hardware Engineering TPM team you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary management staff to conceive and design Server Storage products for AWS datacenters. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team to drive key aspects of product definition, execution and test. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.
The TPM Manager will manage the activities of their team including recruitment, selection, development and retention of the team as we continue to grow our business. You will be responsible for execution of hardware programs in support of end customer software services from internal customer teams. Your team will lead engineering and operations teams through the development process, ensuring agile lifecycles are established and met. You will support the creation and maintenance of project plans, including the schedule and risk management plans. You will work with the Product Management team to derive the product requirements and obtain executive approval. Your team will drive and motivate the cross-functional teams to create innovative designs on aggressive schedules at high quality at scale.
This role requires hands-on project management skills, deep technical expertise, and excellent leadership and team development skills as you will be a coach for your own team as well as an owner of your own strategic initiatives. You and your team will be responsible for collecting business and systems requirements from internal and external customers, finalizing requirements, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing the product launch. You will also be responsible for setting program management standards and expectations and delivering large, cross functional projects and setting strategic direction for key growth initiatives. In this role you and your team will be responsible for driving technical changes across Amazon systems and drive multiple projects. You will be expected to make appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to- market, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal, cross-functional and remote project teams.

Experience managing teams, building processes, project management, and release schedules
• 7+ years of relevant work experience in internet-related program and/or technical product management in a software applications environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline
Experience in working with overseas CM/OEM/ODM vendors in product development
Previous server hardware development, validation and/or issue root cause experience
Knowledge of datacenter infrastructure constraints including networking, power, space, and cooling
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units
• Experience with agile or other program management methodologies
• Master's degree in Computer Science and/or Business Administration • Prior experience as a software developer
