In this role, you will design and implement a validation platform for a new AWS product with interactions across the full breadth of AWS services. This means you will become an AWS expert who works with a variety of AWS teams to understand how all the pieces of AWS systems come together. You will work directly with Developers, QA Engineers, Product Managers, and Technical Program Managers to gather requirements for the validation system and turn them into code.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or advanced Degree in Computer Science or closely related field
  • 4+ years professional experience in software development
  • Experience in building test automation for services
  • Proficiency with one of the modern programming languages such as C, C++, Java or C#
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency with Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design and analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AWS services is a big plus
  • Familiarity with Linux development environment
  • Familiarity with a functional language such as Scala
  • Experience with test frameworks such as Selenium
  • Experience with systems and software architecture
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Ability to propose and evolve designs with Principal and Distinguished Engineers
