Job Description

The S3 Product Management team is seeking a Senior Product Manager with broad technical skills, strong financial acumen and a deep analytical background to drive increased usage of S3 Object Storage to AWS's largest and most strategic customers. You will understand the specific needs of these customers relating to both Object Storage and Networking, understand how they are to be delivered and priced, and then execute with alacrity, working with a cross-functional team of Engineering, Operations, Finance and Sales to deliver, price and meet these needs, growing both revenue and usage.

You will define what success in your business will look like on a quarterly and annual basis, and scope out and define the cadences and processes needed to grow your businesses and work with others to automate them. You will define the metrics, worldwide reporting deliverables, and analyses and make sure these are regularly delivered to support business planning and improve customer satisfaction.

You have the ability to communicate effectively across multiple technical units and with executives, both internal and at your customers. Successful members of this team collaborate effectively to deliver against high operational standards.

Key responsibilities include (but aren't limited to):

  • Analysis of the performance of our services (and their components) for these strategic customers
  • Recommendation and Implementation of new services, offers and existing offer improvements to better meet these customers' needs
  • Develop a deep understanding of service metrics, reporting tools and data structures in order to quantify the current situation, develop targets and goals, identify and drive opportunities for automation; provide actionable intelligence with existing metrics or identify, develop and propose new metrics, dashboards, scorecards or tools.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering teams, finance, operations and sales to identify and address issues pertaining to the these customers and drive success there.

Basic Qualifications

  • 12+ years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to create and troubleshoot extremely complex spreadsheets
  • Ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Experience communicating recommendations and results to executive business leaders

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Efficient in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to meet deadlines, provide well-vetted reports and recommendations
  • Background working with IT/Software solutions, particularly Storage and Networking
  • Requires limited supervision.
  • Experience negotiating at the Executive level
