Job Description

AWS recently announced AWS Snowmobile, a highly secure, Exabyte-scale data transfer service that can transfer up to 100 PB per appliance of data into the AWS Cloud, and industry response has been tremendous. We are growing the team and are looking for experienced Software Development Engineers (SDEs) like you to help us design and build innovative products that will redefine how companies migrate to the cloud.
The AWS Snowmobile hardware includes storage, networking, and encryption servers housed in a 45-foot long ruggedized tamper-resistant shipping container which together enables data transfer from on-premises to the cloud as fast as 500 Gb/s. Using AWS Snowmobile customers reduce their time to move 100s of petabytes from decades or centuries to months.
The goal of our work in the hardware, software, and logistic systems design is to make Exabyte scale import simple, inexpensive, and fast. We keep customer data secure in while being written and in transit with military grade encryption and durable, error correcting, storage mechanisms.
Moving large amounts of data to the cloud quickly, securely, and cost-effectively is a huge challenge for many customers and we are eagerly looking for inventive SDEs to help us complete the journey we have begun. Come help us build a new generation of Snowmobile services from the ground up; this is an opportunity to be part of a ‘greenfield’ effort and build truly innovative solutions for customers moving to the cloud.
Join a start-up team that is driven to serve customers, smart, hardworking, and fun
